Dr. Pallab Chatterjee

Dr. Pallab Chatterjee is a Managing Director and Operating Partner of Symphony Technology Group, as well as CEO & Chairman of Symphony EYC. Prior to joining STG, Dr. Chatterjee was CEO of i2 Technologies, Inc. where he earlier held the role of President of Solutions Operations. Before joining i2, he spent 24 years at Texas Instruments in various executive management positions. Dr. Chatterjee also serves on the board of directors for SSC, Teleca and MSC Software. Dr. Chatterjee received his Bachelor degree from IIT-Kharagpur, India and a Master’s and Doctorate degree in electrical engineering from University of Illinois.
EVP Retail Solutions – North America
Jat is one of the original members of EYC and the longest serving, having joined the company over 11 years ago. Having set-up our US offices, Jat has expanded the number of our retail partners, analytical capabilities and solutions, practicing across several retail disciplines including price, promotions, CRM & digital, supplier collaboration, category management and many more. Jat currently leads all new Business Development and Custom Analytics growth in North America & Canada, as well as client delivery & analytics for a number of our US customers. He has over 20 years of experience in loyalty and insights with previous leading analytical positions held at dunnhumby and Centrica.
EVP Chief Strategy & Client Partner, Symphony EYC
Matt is responsible for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) strategy, provides executive leadership around Consulting & Strategic Insights across the Americas, and partners closely with some of Symphony EYC’s biggest customers to help them achieve growth. He joined Symphony EYC in August 2017 from Walmart where, over the past 14 years, he held the positions of SVP Global Customer Insights and Analytics, SVP Merchandising, SVP Sustainability, Head of Marketing Sam’s Club, and Head of Private Labels at Sam’s Club. Prior to this he was responsible for strategy relating to revenue generation and key account management at Kraft and General Foods.
SVP Business Development
Pierre is responsible for growing EYC’s footprint in Europe at existing clients as well as new accounts. He brings over fifteen years of experience in the customer insights practice as an expert consultant, as well as on the client side. Before Symphony EYC, Pierre spent ten years at Carrefour Group in operational and marketing roles in Greece and France, including VP of Customer Insights for the leading business unit. He was also with Danone for eight years where he held Sales and General Management positions including opening and leading Danone in Russia.
Operating Partner, Symphony Technology Group;
SVP Product Strategy, Symphony EYC
Sy Fahimi is responsible for the product strategy, direction and execution of the company. In this role, Sy has helped shape the company’s products into one of the leading and most innovative customer centric retailing platforms in the industry. Sy brings decades of international software, e-commerce, and digital media senior executive experience to Symphony EYC. Additionally, he is an Operating Partner with Symphony Technology Group. Prior to 2012, Sy held various VP positions including head of Yahoo’s Advertising Products globally, which also encompassed mobile, video, and social monetization. He ran Yahoo Small Business and Emerging Markets Products for the company. Previously, he was CEO of Adteractive, a performance marketing start-up he helped grow to $100M+ before selling in 2008. Prior Sy held executive roles at Intuit, Sun Microsystems, and GE.
Nigel joined Symphony EYC in December 2015 as the SVP of Development. He joined Symphony Technology Group in 2015 as EIR – Technology Adviser, leading technology strategy and architecture on business transformation initiatives. Nigel has decades of experience leading development teams working on very large data and develop analytic solutions to provide actionable insights in varied verticals. Prior to joining STG, Nigel was CTO at Symphony Health Solutions directing transformation to Cloud data Solutions, SaaS software solutions, restructuring infrastructure and establishing offshore development. Prior roles included CTO at Symphony Advanced Media, SVP Development for new products at Symphony IRI, SVP Development at i2 technologies.
SVP Client Executive – Europe
Penny Vegting is responsible for managing client services in Europe. Penny has been with EYC for over 9 years developing and delivering customer-centric strategies and plans to global clients, including Ahold (USA); Albert Heijn (The Netherlands); Safeway (USA); SuperValu (USA) and Finiper (Italy). Prior to working at EYC, Penny held a number of senior management positions across Merchandising & Marketing with Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd.
VP Human Resources
Sam joined the EYC team in August 2012 and is the Vice President of Human Resources, holding responsibility for the Global HR function. She has extensive experience in setting HR strategy, people development, organisation design, employee relations, talent management, change management, reward and by no means least – putting the fun into HR! Sam has held HR roles across technology, construction and hospitality before joining EYC
Andrew Young, Finance Director, joined EYC in 2014 and is responsible for leading the finance & legal function of EYC. Andrew, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, started his career in 2000 in the auditing profession, before joining Xansa Plc (later Steria plc) as Group Finance Manager. In 2008, Andrew joined emnos, initially responsible for Finance for the UK business, before progressing to become group controller of emnos in 2011.
